No. BLTV signal is not affected by weather conditions that dish customers are accustom to. Because this service uses your existing phone lines, it is not susceptible to atmospheric conditions such as rain and snow that affect normally affect dish customers. The only affect a storm may play in service interruptions is if the power goes off at a customer's location, so will their video services. Unlike phone service which will not be affected by a power outage, the Set-Top-Box does needs AC power in order to deliver video services. But if the power is off at your location, you won't be able to use your TV anyway. But if an alternative power source is used (ex. generator) your video services will be up while that alternative source is available.
